In the next few weeks Samsung should announce its new rugged tablet: it’s about Galaxy Tab Active5. This device will benefit from a military-grade durabilitynew productivity and security platform features Samsung Knox. Given the features, the tablet is dedicated above all to professionals who carry out their work in rather difficult environments.

Moving on to the details, Galaxy Tab Active5 will be able to count on a 8 inch WUXGA display with touch sensitivity, a 5nm octa-core processor (Exynos 1380, supported by 4/6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal memory), a user-replaceable 5050 mAh battery and a dual camera system (13 MP sensor at the rear, 5 MP at the front). The tablet will also support the 5G connection, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC and GPS connectivity. The Knox platform will then provide protection for both hardware and software. There will be facial recognition and fingerprint recognition.

Galaxy Tab Active5 will also include the S Pen with IP68 ratingwhich can be used to write, draw or navigate on the screen.

As regards the audio sector, the device will have a Dolby Atmos audio system and two microphones. Finally, as mentioned at the beginning, the tablet will benefit from military-grade hardness, with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, a MIL-STD-810H certification for durability and a 1.2m anti-shock protection with a protective cover for your inbox. The device will also have a screen Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which will guarantee good scratch resistance.
