The latest update to Samsung TV Plus makes viewing content easier and faster

Samsung has announced an update to Samsung TV Plus, its free streaming service. The latest version of the platform introduces user interface improvements and new featuresalways with the aim of simplifying content discovery and improving user experience.

Proceeding in order, the update introduces a redesigned home screen in order to offer an overview of the content available for viewing, as well as the most popular titles and recently watched content. The updated interface also features new categories, which have been added to the left side of the home screen. These are sections like Live TV, Movies/TV Shows, Music, Kids and Settings, and more. Finally, depending on the needs of the various markets, cards have been implemented in some countriesamong which:

  • Music tab for United States, Australia, New Zealand;
  • Children’s sheet for United States, Europe, Brazil, Mexico, India;
  • News tab for India with multilingual support.

The update implemented some larger interface elements to improve the browsing experience.

Additionally, users will be able to access their favorite channels grouped in a section located at the top of the channel guide.

Finally, the last update has “strengthened” Video on Demand (VOD) capabilities of Samsung TV Plus. Users will then be able to access the VOD from the channel guide, allowing instant playback of selected programs without having to wait for a specific episode to arrive on the channel. Again, the new “More Like This” feature offers content suggestions based on users’ viewing history.
