Google Photos is the cloud platform that allows everyone with a Google account to synchronize photos and videos securely. This has been available for years on Android devices, iPhones and PCs.
Google has demonstrated in recent years that pay particular attention towards Google Photos, taking care of the graphic interface with timely updates and renewals, as well as introducing a series of new features dedicated above all to customization and editing.
And in the last few hours it finally arrived for everyone another novelty: let’s talk about the new card Memories, which makes its way into the navigation bar of Google Photos, demonstrating how central Google thinks it should be in the user experience with Photos. The same novelty was spotted in distribution only for a few selected users last summer.
As you can see from the screenshots below, the new Memories tab includes all memories that he proposes automatically Google Photos. These were previously shown within the top carousel of the app, through contents that are very similar to the Stories we find on the main social networks.
With this new section it will be possible to scroll through all the memories associated with your Google account, i.e. all those series of photos and videos associated with a particular event, such as an excursion or the celebration of a specific occasion. Over the years, Google Photos has proven itself increasingly powerful and accurate in the automatic identification of images and videos to be associated with the same memory.
In addition to finding all the memories created automatically by Google Photos, the new Memories tab also allows you to create memories from scratch, selecting the images from the main grid. Likewise, it is possible personalize the memories already created automatically, by changing the title and the images that are included. It will also be possible change the layout of memories, as well as include or remove all photos taken on specific days associated with the specific memory.
