WhatsApp and self-destructing vocals: when they arrive

WhatsApp is the instant messaging platform that millions of users use every day to communicate in different forms. The platform is available for Android, iOS and PC and in the last few hours it has announced a news of particular importance.

We’re talking about self-destructing vowels. It is therefore a new form of messages that disappear, or rather messages that allow access only once.

WhatsApp officially announced the news, though hasn’t distributed it yet to the public. Voice messages of this type will therefore be listenable only once, after which they will disappear forever from the chat. An excellent innovation for certain types of chat, extending the alternatives for those who want to communicate via messages accessible on a single occasion.

It remains to be understood how it will be managed functionality, given that voice messages on WhatsApp, as well as on other platforms that support this type of message, can be listened to even only partially. However, we expect that these vowels will not disappear if heard only for a certain percentage.

However, we don’t expect them to remain accessible if listened to almost completely, otherwise they would be easily circumvented the limitation of single access.

There activation mode of self-destructing vocals should be the same as for images visible only once sent in WhatsApp chat.

And when does the news arrive? WhatsApp said it will roll out to Android and iOS “in the next few days.” We can therefore hypothesize that it will be a novelty that will also arrive directly for those who have the stable version of the app. But it could also be that WhatsApp intends to test it on those who have it first beta. We will update you again as soon as we know more.
