WhatsApp launches the most desired function in voice messages, which everyone has been waiting for

If you are one of those who send hot voice messages on WhatsApp, and then regret what you said, here is some good news: WhatsApp has just released voice messages that self-destruct, after being heard only once.

Surely more than once you have sent a voice message that you later regretted. Or you just want to say something private that you don’t want kept. The problem is that the recipients save it on their phones until they want to delete them. Luckily, that ended WhatsApp voice notes that self-destruct.

This feature has been in WhatsApp text messages and videos since 2021, so it’s about time it came to audio. Even more so, when with a text there is no evidence that you sent it, but an audio text is your voice…

Self-destructing voice messages on WhatsApp

Hereinafter, When you create a voice note on WhatsApp, you will have the option to check “play it once”before sending it.

Meta calls it “talk once, play once,” and it’s very easy to use, as this video shows:

You simply have to record the audio by holding down the microphone on the WhatsApp screen. Then you select the option “1” inside the circle, and click send.

When the voice message is heard just once, it will automatically be destroyed on all devices, and on WhatsApp servers.

Please note that even if you send a voice memo that self-destructs, the recipient(s) can record it using a recording app, and that copy will not self-destruct. Even if you use this new feature, do not assume that the message will disappear if a recipient records it while listening to it.

Voice messages that can only be heard once, before being destroyed, are now available on WhatsApp. The update will gradually reach all users.
