Windows 11 will allow you to save money on your electricity bill thanks to this new feature

Operating systems such as Windows 10 and Windows 11 have different battery saving modes that we can activate so that the battery lasts longer when we are not connected to the network.

And Microsoft is working on a power saving mode for Windows 11, which will allow you to not only manage this power saving when the device is using only the battery, but also when we are connected to the network.

Those from Redmond are testing a new function power saving mode in Windows 11 which will help us extend the battery life of laptops.

It was found in the latest preview version on the Canary channel, and introduces improved power saving capabilities that would increase battery life by reducing power usage and system performance.

We will have it available through the quick configuration menu in the system tray or we will also be able to configure it to activate automatically when the battery level of our device reaches a certain threshold.

The novelty in this regard is that this energy saving mode can be set to run when the device is connected to a power sourceso we will be able to use it to reduce energy and thus save on the electricity bill.

“It’s an easy way to extend battery life and reduce power usage by offsetting some of the system’s performance,” notes Microsoft’s Amanda Langowski and Brandon LeBlanc.

“While optimized to extend battery life, power saving will be available when PCs are connected (this includes desktop PCs) for those who want to conserve power all the time,” they add.

Meanwhile, we have a battery saving function built into the operating system that allows us to extend the battery life of the computer.
