You are one of them? Millions of Google Drive users are losing files due to an error

There are different cloud services in which we can store all our files, but without a doubt, the most popular and used is Google Drive and until now it had practically no failures.

Unfortunately, in the last few hours there are quite a few users who are reporting that files are disappearing from their Google Drive foldersand that’s really serious stuff.

Many users have gone to the Google support forum to complain that they are losing files in Google Driveand those from Mountain View are already investigating the situation, recommending that no changes be made to the folder.

First it was a South Korean user who complained that quite a few files had disappeared from his Google Drive. In fact, the last files and folders he had in his Drive were from May 2023, so he had lost practically six months of data.

This person also claims that he never shared his Drive files with anyone else, so it is ruled out that any other owner would have deleted them.

Many complaints from the community and Google is attentive

Google has indicated that they are investigating the case and that they have received more reports from other affected people, including administrators.

On the other hand, those from Mountain View They also do not recommend making any other changes to the root or data folder while they wait for instructions on how to proceed in this regard.

Other affected users report that “I have completely lost some key items in Drive” and that they also do not see the lost files in the trash or any revisions.

Another says it can only see Drive folders and subfolders but there are no files in them.

You should make sure you don’t have this problem in Drive, which apparently affects desktop Google Drive more.

Any new update would be advisable to install from the first moment, because apparently it would be the patch that Google must be about to launch.
