Like other music streaming services, too YouTube Music allows you to download songs for offline listeningbut only from mobile apps and not from its web app, which is the only way to access the service from computer (do you know how to download music from YouTube Music?).
For a few weeks, however, the signs that this is about to happen have become increasingly insistent change, as some users would have seen the button appear Downloads right from the service website.
The guys from were the first to notice the news last week 9to5Google and now a user on Reddit has published the first screenshots of the function. As you can see (even if the images are rather blurry) now in fact on the page of an album or a playlist a download button above, between Save to collection and the menu with three dots up.

After clicking on it, a will appear at the bottom left pop-up window which will show the advancement downloading songs from the album or playlist.

On the download page you will also find a message that explains how “Downloads remain available as long as your device has an active Internet connection at least once every 30 days“, as is usually the case for the phone app, even in other streaming services.
As we were saying, not many users have observed the novelty, so we don’t know how widespread it is. Obviously it is reserved for members of YouTube Music Premiumthe paid plan that allows offline listening, as well as background listening and the removal of advertising, but we don’t know if it will also be extended to free podcast users.
