Android 15, here we go: the first Developer Preview is coming!

Android 15 is upon us. Maybe you weren’t thinking about it yet but it’s almost time to see the first versions of the new Android release (here are the best Android smartphones divided by price range). Confirmation has just arrived from a Google developer.

The screenshot you find in gallery below is an excerpt from a conversation a user had with a Google developer. The interesting piece is the one in which it is reported that the release of the first Developer Preview of Android 15 is set for next time February 15.

This means that in a few days we will see one very first version of Android 15. Since this is a Developer Preview we clearly expect that it will include some bugsjust as we expect it will not include all the key new features of Android 15.

Historically we have seen the first substantial innovations of the new generations of Android starting from the release of first public betas. The Developer Preview is not a public beta, and requires manual installation, while the first public betas of Android 15 are planned not before May.

Upon release, not everyone will be able to download and install the Developer Preview of Android 15. This will essentially only be accessible to Google Pixels. It will be interesting to see it in action, at least to see what the new code includes, even if all the features will not be available immediately.

They didn’t arrive official confirmations or comments from Google regarding the newly leaked date, but then again they have never arrived in the past for questions regarding the release of updates. We just have to wait until February 15th.
