Save the car parking place. A mystical function, which years ago, way back in 2017, Google Maps had already introduced in its apps for Android and iOS, and which today comes back to new life where it is even more useful: on Android Auto.
With the latest version of Maps (yes, the one after the infamous color change) a toggle has appeared on Android Auto, which is shown once you reach your destination, after navigation towards any destination: “save parking”. Simple, effective.
By enabling the option, the current location of the vehicle will be saved, and this will also result in a notification (at least on Android) the next day, to remind you where you parked the car (you can still access it from Maps, even without notification, by searching for “parking”).
It seems that the saved location is exactly the one at the moment press on the toggle, but being a new function the case history is still very scarce (for example, we have not yet received it, and we trust what is reported by 9to5Google).
In any case, it is certainly a useful option: so simple and banal, that one wonders why it didn’t arrive before (almost) 2024!
