DJI Avata 2 and Goggles 3 leaked in a surprise: new cameras and then?

The first information about what will most likely be the new one has leaked online DJi FPV drone, a well-known leading company in the drone market. Let’s talk about DJI Avata 2 with his Googles 3.

An FPV drone is a device designed specifically for I fly firsthandand for this reason it comes with special glasses to provide users with the view of what they would see if they were riding the drone they are driving.

This information comes mainly from the leaker Quadro_News on X, who shared some pictures of how the new Avata 2 should look alongside the new Googles 3.

From the images we learn that, as far as the drone is concerned, the main update should be focused on the propellers triple-bladed, which seem entirely enclosed in the frame. As for the glasses, let’s see how the Googles 3 could present themselves with the interesting novelty of two cameras on the front.

These sensors should serve for the passthrough vision.

Apart from this, we also see a new forehead restwhich could also be useful for transporting glasses when they are not being worn.

In addition to the leaks regarding the design, we also have the opportunity to learn some of the alleged technical specifications. According to what was reported by some Chinese sources, the new Avata 2 should weigh approximately 458 grams and integrate a 1/1.3 inch CMOS sensorlarger than the 1/1.7 inch version found on DJI Avata.

This larger sensor should allow for acquisition more light from the surrounding environment. The recording and photo capture specifications are very similar to those offered by the DJI Avata that we already know. Among the improvements we see the possibility of recording in resolution full HD up to 240 fps.

Another improvement compared to the previous generation should involve the battery compartment. Avata 2 should in fact integrate a battery of capacity equal to 50.1Whconsistently larger than the 35.7 Wh we find on the DJI Avata.

As regards the Googles 3, the only variation compared to the previous generation should consist in an increase in weight, which would go from the previous 290 grams to 420 grams.

Currently DJI did not release any details about when this new FPV drone might arrive. We will update you again as soon as we have details on the presentation official.
