Google Messages: Emoji reactions become more dramatic

news continues to arrive Google Messages: the Big G application for RCS chats, which represents a point of reference for Android smartphones (here is our guide on how to send SMS from the internet). In fact, after having anticipated this function in the beta, the Reaction Effects they are also available with the stable version of the application. Basically these are animations defaults that are generated when you react to a message via emoji.

According to Google, this is ”an addition to the messaging experience that brings more life to your conversations”. Unfortunately, animations are unavailable exclusively for the following emoji.

  • 👍
  • ❤️
  • 😂
  • 😮
  • 😡
  • 👎
  • 💩
  • 🎉
  • 😠
  • 😢

Each of the previous emojis will give life to a different animation, except for for 😡 and 😠 which generate the same result on the screen (we leave you in the 9to5Google demonstration screenshot gallery). As it turns out, currently does not exist a way to disable specifically these animations.

This function was part of the list of news announced by Google last December, underlining how the Mountain View giant strongly believes in RCS standards and in your application.

For all the curious who don’t want to wait for releases of the various new features on the stable version of the app, there is always the possibility of signing up for the beta (which since yesterday allows you to change the color of chat bubbles and backgrounds).
