One of the most interesting news regarding YouTube in recent times it represents the possibility of play online within the platform, without downloading app (do you know how to remove advertising on YouTube?).
The function, of which we had revealed the first previews to June of this year, was then officially announced at September, together with the start of a test phase for some users registered with YouTube Premium. Now the first images have appeared online, published by the site Android Authoritywhich are starting to give us an idea of what awaits us.
From what was stated, YouTube Playables will be a new section of the YouTube app (or site), which will allow you to access a series of titles that you can play from telephone / Tablet (Android or iOS) or from computer (from browser).
In these screenshots, you can see the new one icon in the app, sort of chessboard made up of nine sections, and once touched you can access the function. The introductory sheet reveals how the testing phase is active until March 28, 2024and on the next screen you can activate proof.
Next, you will be shown the titles which you can play divided into two sections, Home and Browse, where the first probably represents the games you have chosen and the second those available.
From what we can see the games seem to be oriented more towards mobile devices (we don’t know if the service will show different games on desktop), but they are certainly not of type AAA, and in any case Playables it certainly doesn’t have the ambitions of Stadia.
Among the titles present we see Scooter Extreme, State.io, Brain Out, 8 Ball Billiards Classic, Color Burst 3D, Stack Bounce, Daily Crossword, Daily Solitaire, Color Pixel Art, Carrom Clash, Cannon Balls 3D, Basketball FRVR, Angry Birds Showdown , Cube Tower and Crazy Caves.
As anticipated, the test phase will be available until March 28, so it is difficult to think that the service will be launched to the public before that date. At the moment we don’t know how much it is widespread the test, but we have indications that it is not exclusive to United Statesas it was also spotted in India.
To see if you are suitable, you can go (if you are a YouTube Premium subscriber) to the YouTube experimental features site and check for the presence of the invitation. After activating it, the new section should appear and you can start playing.
