With the new Momentum Sport from Sennheiser you won’t need a smartwatch to check your heart rate

If you love training outdoors, you will particularly appreciate the new wireless earphones that Sennheiser just presented at CES, the Momentum Sports.

The headphones are in fact equipped with sensors for the registration of the heartbeat and of temperature, and are proposed as the perfect companions for daily running, while for audiophiles the popular brand offers new ones Momentum 4, with support to aptX codec. The latest dedicated headphones to sporting activity from Sennheiser offer a couple of functions that are not exactly new but at least still not very widespread, i sensors for monitoring health data.

Among these we find a photoplethysmographic heart rate sensor (PPG) built-in, can record the heartbeatand one for recording the body temperature.

The Sennheiser Momentum Sport will then be able to synchronize with sports devices and apps apple, Garmin, Strava, Peloton And Polar. As for the latter manufacturer, Sennheiser declares that for the first time you will be able to access the Polar Flow training data analysis tools in a non-Polar product.

As for other features, the earphones have specifications suited to this type of device, such as rating IP55 to resist dust and splashes of water, i.e. sweat, a shock-proof frame and an anti-clogging system.

The design is particularly studied, which despite being semi-open to always be aware of your surroundings, it also integrates a acoustic attenuation channel to minimize the noise of footsteps, breathing and other body-borne distractions.

Nonetheless, the headphones are equipped with adaptive cancellation of noise for those who prefer to isolate themselves, which combines with the mode of transparency adjustable and anti-wind mode.

Also the sound has been particularly studied in such a device, so much so that Sennheiser has completely redesigned the transducer to deliver the best sound quality in a Sennheiser sports earphone.

Autonomy should come up to six hourswhile the charging case (which supports both USB-C and Qi wireless charging) extends it up to 24 hours, and thanks to fast charging you can get 45 minutes of listening in just 10 minutes of (wired) charging.

But don’t expect a low price. If the current ones Sennheiser Sport True Wireless The new Momentum Sport costs 139.90 euros (but does not even offer noise cancellation), and will be available in three color variants: Polar Black, Burned Olive And Metallic Graphitewill arrive on the market on April 9th at the price of 329.99 euros.

This involves supporting technology AptX Lossless by Qualcomm, which allows you to listen to audio without quality loss if paired with a compatible device, while from a connectivity point of view there is support for Bluetooth 5.4 andAuracast, which allows transmission one-to-many.

Obviously the headphones are equipped with adaptive cancellation of noise, which has been further improved, while the battery life reaches 7.5 hours, which goes up to 30 with the charging case. As for the Momentum Sportsthe case can be charged using the wired charging or wireless with the Qi standard.

The new Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 They will be available in three color variants: copper black, metallic silver And graphite and will be available for pre-order on February 15 at the price of 299.99 euros.

Finally, Sennheiser presented the Accentum PlusBluetooth 5.2 headphones with touch controls on the earcups, 3.5 mm port, adaptive noise cancellation, codec support aptX Adaptive and connectivity multipoint. The autonomy however reaches up to 50 hours.

The Accentum Plus they will be launched on the market on February 20th in white or black 229.99 euros.
