Does the charm of smart rings also infect Apple?
There has been more and more talk about smart rings in recent times, with some models having already debuted on the market and others, such as that of Samsung, which are about to arrive. If Samsung comes into play then Apple could do it too.
In fact, in the last few hours interesting details have emerged about a hypothetical iRing of Apple. Apple’s smart ring is something that has been vaguely talked about over the last few years, especially in conjunction with the various patent applications carried out by Apple specifically for smart ring devices.
Now, according to reports from ET newsApple would be very close to production of its first smart ring and then market it. The last of Apple’s patents on the subject was filed in last Novemberand it concerned a particularly developed device.
So it might be time to see Apple actually come into play in the smart ring segment. They aren’t there yet timing launch, just as Apple has obviously not released any official comment on the matter.
The smart ring market is in rapid rise: analyzes predict a growth in turnover from the current 20 million dollars to 200 million dollars within the next 8 years. This explains why Samsung is diving into the industry with its Galaxy Ring, and also why Apple might do so.
In any case, we don’t expect it the first iRing this year. Considering the production and marketing times, we expect a debut no earlier than next year. We will follow the story closely and will return to update you as soon as we know more.
