The Android Auto 11.0 beta is now available: main news and how to download it

You could already see it coming seeing the speed with which Google has been releasing updates for its car navigation application: Android Auto 11.0 beta is now available.

In recent weeks, the American company has launched 3 different versions. To be exact, Android Auto 10.7 landed on October 25. A couple of weeks later, on November 6, Android 10.8 did the same. Shortly after, on November 11, Android 10.9 arrived.

Now, breaking the rule of time a little, The beta version of Android Auto 11.0 arrives that you can now download without any problems.

Does this mean weight updates are coming? Well sadly no. It seems like everything is focused on debugging the software and fixing minor bugs.

Of course, it is not known which errors have been fixed, something common with Google, but if you have a problem, it is possible that the update will solve the problem.

It is quite worrying, since there are many functions already announced waiting to arrive in Android Auto, but Google does not give up.

We still don’t know anything about the new design of the Google Assistant, the new contact selector or the configuration for electric cars.

There is also nothing known about Coolwalk or the integration of Zoom or WebEx and the redesign with Material You is not even mentioned. The most curious thing is that all this was announced months ago, so it is logical that it will end up arriving sooner rather than later.

In any case, there are improvements in the stability and behavior of the application and if you are interested, you can try the Android 11.0 beta without problems.

All you have to do is download the standalone APK installer. Once this step is finished, it is time to search for the location of the file and install it on the mobile. It is a simple and intuitive process, since it shows all the instructions on the screen. You’re not going to get lost, come on.

The process, however, may require special permissions to install applications from sources outside the Google Play Store on Android devices with the default application installation policy. The step-by-step wizard will guide you, so the installation should complete in about a minute.
