In build 26058 of Windows 11, currently being distributed in the insider channel, there is great news for the widget panel: the possibility of removing news entirely, and having a panel full only of the widgets chosen by the user. Being a feature still in development, it will take some time before it arrives in the stable version, but within at most few months everyone will be able to get rid of news of Microsoft, which, let’s face it, are often just gossip.

But be careful, because there are also other new features in development. For example, notification badges in the taskbar have a counter for those you missed, such as weather alerts or breaking news, and by opening the widget panel in this case you will also have a summary of all unread notifications.

Latest news, a visual indicator to find the mouse pointerwhich seems to be borrowed from PowerToys, which you can recall with the Windows + Ctrl + X keys, and customize the colors.

Below you will find some screenshots to demonstrate what has just been reported, but we underline again that none of these functions are already available in the public version of Windows 11: it will still take a little patience.
