It has taken a little longer than necessary, since the beta came out at the end of November, but finally the stable version of Android Auto 11.0 is here and you can now download the update without the need for any APK or beta version from Google Play.
Now, despite the number change, already in Android Auto 11, This version doesn’t seem to include a single new feature.. It seems because Google never releases a version update note, so it has to be the user community if new features have been included.
It seems like everything is focused on debugging the software and fixing minor bugs. Of course, it is not known what errors have been fixed, something common with Google, but if you have a problem, It is possible that the update will solve the problem.
It is quite worrying, since there are many functions already announced waiting to arrive in Android Auto, but Google does not give up.
We still don’t know anything about the new design of the Google Assistant, the new contact selector or the configuration for electric cars.
There is also nothing known about Coolwalk or the integration of Zoom or WebEx and the redesign with Material You is not even mentioned. The most curious thing is that all this was announced months ago, so it is logical that it will end up arriving sooner rather than later.
What is noticeable in this version of Android Auto 11.0 is that the icons have changed their shape somewhat, although it all depends on the brand of your device. That is, it will inherit in a certain way the configuration of the shape of the icons on your mobile.
Beyond this nothing new is perceived, but it is good to update to Android Auto 11.0 to put aside any stability problems.
All you have to do is go to Google Play, search for the application and see if you see the Update button. If it doesn’t appear, it may have been updated in the background or you may still have to wait a few hours or days.
