Let’s start with today’s news: Google has shared on its blog something new arriving in the next few weeks on Android TV, at least for users in the United States, a new line of quick access buttons.
According to GrandeG, this tool, located under the favorite apps row, allows quick access to play the next videolook at the Live TVexplore i popular titles and see what’s trending on Google, without needing to jump from app to app.
The novelty is intended as a improvement of the experience, but not everyone is satisfied.
Why? Because it takes over a function of Google TV, which is nothing more than Google’s proprietary interface for Android TV.
And if at the moment the resemblance is limited to gods buttons which link to sections of the links in the top bar, perhaps with a bit of redundancy, as happens with the Live TV (Free Live TV) and Live tabs and the Shop and Popular Movies / Popular Shows tabs, the fear is that much more will arrive in the future.
It is not just a question of interface, which perhaps lovers of a cleaner solution might not appreciate, but also of functionality and, above all, of advertising.
