Google releases Android 14 QPR3 Beta 1: there’s also a hint of Android 15

Google just released a new update for those who have the beta version of Android 14. Let’s talk about Beta 1 of Android 14 QPR3or the release of Android 14 which will arrive in a stable version in June 2024.

The first beta of Android 14 QPR3 includes some of the new features that will be released with the Feature Drops of Android 14 scheduled for June. In this first beta, identified by the code AP21.240119.009 and which weighs around 300 MB, there aren’t many substantial new features. We obviously expect Google to introduce the new features gradually, so expect more with the second beta.

Protection from deceptive apps

A new option arrives for protect yourself from deceptive apps. In fact, the named option arrives within the Android 14 settings Scan for deceptive apps. This is active by default on Android and offers a continuous scanning in the background of installed apps to find any content that has the purpose of stealing data or personal information.

New menu for touch sensitivity

In the settings of Android 14 comes a new menu dedicated to the customization of touch sensitivity. In reality, no new features are coming, as this new menu includes the option to increase sensitivity of the touch if you use one protection for the display.

Circle and search

The feature that attracted all the attention of Android users, launched alongside the new Galaxy S24, also arrives for those who have the beta of Android 14.

Clearly this is a feature that, at least for the moment, is a Pixel 8 exclusive.

The update is currently being distributed via OTA globally to all those who have joined the QPR beta of Android 14 (we remind you how to enter the Android beta program). Compatible devices are Pixel 5a and all subsequent models.
