Google Maps on Android is about to be enriched with a feature that It’s been on the iPhone for years. This is certainly not usual, given that usually, as logic dictates, we are used to the opposite.
We’re talking about the arrival of weather on Google Maps. There weather display within Google Maps it is a feature that arrived on the iPhone 4 years ago. Yet this is new on the Android Maps app it hasn’t arrived yet on a permanent basis.
Late last year we talked about how Google was about to release weather information into the Google Maps Android app. So far we have not received it, but according to latest reports emerged online, it could really be the right time.
As you can see from the Images in the gallery, several users who use Google Maps on Android phones they spotted the news relating to weather information within the app, on its home screen. Weather information is located in the top left of the interface.

By selecting the mirror it will then be possible to access the more detailed informationwith an interface very similar to the one accessed from Google’s At a Glance widget.
According to what was reported by those who received it on Android, the new feature should be available for those who have updated the Maps app at least to version 11.113. We did it but there is still no sign of the weather. So let us know if you’ve been luckier.
