The new iPhone 16s could have the thinnest bezels ever

The latest rumors spread on the internet hypothesize that apple intends to launch the new iPhone 16 with i thinnest edges ever. The Cupertino company, in fact, is apparently working on a new technology that will allow the frames to be taken to extremes and which is known as Border Reduction Structure (BRS).

This new technology has been under development for some years, to the point that the company has tried to apply it to old models as well, but without success. The cause of this could be attributed to problems related to heat dissipation, which now would have been overcome. In any case, already last year Apple managed to reduce the bezels of its iPhone 15 by employing excessive low-pressure injection molding (LIPO): The bezels were reduced from approximately 2.2 mm on the iPhone 14 to approximately 1.5 mm.

The Pro variants of iPhone 16Furthermore, they could present another novelty: these models they would debut with a larger display compared to its predecessors.

According to multiple sources, the iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max will have a 6.3″ and 6.9″ screen respectively. Obviously the two smartphones will have more generous dimensions than in the past: they will be slightly taller despite being wider. The greater space inside, among other things, could allow Apple to use, for example, a more powerful battery.

Finally, iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus should not undergo major changes. In the future, however, things could undergo some changes. In fact, Apple is reportedly thinking of launching iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Plus with 6.27″ and 6.86″ displays respectively.
