We often talk about Tesla when in the context of electric vehicles. Elon Musk’s US company has presented constants over the years innovationsclearly centered on electric cars.
Today, however, we are talking to you about a different project, which always has a range of action aimed at the electric car sector. Incredibly, in fact, Tesla is reportedly building a drive-in in the United States.
The news that has emerged online in the last few hours from multiple sources consists of a project that is now available underwaywith Tesla having decided to build a center dedicated to electric cars which bears his name. It is a functional center with various services Obviously.
Let’s talk about drive-ins because they will be there two cinema screens. But beyond these there will be 32 charging stations for vehicles that visit it, as well as there will be a rooftop bar of the building where drivers of electric vehicles will be able to refuel while charging their cars.
This particular project is already under construction, as shown by the images below. The location chosen by Tesla would be in the coastal city of Santa Monica. The project it doesn’t come from nothing, Elon Musk talked about it on what was then called Twitter several years ago.
This move by Tesla, beyond the practical implications for those who live in the area chosen for construction, it is significant because it could to open the way to other investments of this kind, not necessarily coming from Tesla. In Italy we already see, although it is not common, the emergence of charging stations, meeting points and supermarket car parks. We’ll see if this Tesla idea will be exported also in our parts.
