Google brings AI to the Play Store: app content summaries tested

Google also brings artificial intelligence to the Play Store, and does so through an interesting feature which aims to automatically propose highlights related to the apps it hosts.

The functionality we are talking about was spotted during testing by some users, so it is not certain that you will also find it on your Play Store.

The novelty in question is called App Highlights and would consist of an AI-based feature that will allow highlight the key aspects of an app to provide a quick summary of what it is about.

As you can see from the screenshots shared by AssembleDebug on X, if available it will be possible to access the function from page relating to each individual app which supports it on the Play Store. To access the automatic summary you will need to select the button Show to open the summary section.

The App Highlights section is placed in a clearly visible arearight below the app install button.

We therefore expect that Google cares a lot to its implementation.

At the moment it seems that the novelty is being tested exclusively on Play Store for Androidand for a selected number of users. We will return to update you as soon as we know more about its public release.
