Samsung ceases software support for these two smartphones
In the last two years Samsung has increased the duration of software support for its devices. For example, the latest Galaxy S24 series will receive software updates for seven years: in practice, it will even receive the update that will introduce Android 21. Obviously, however, there are some smartphones, starting from the older ones, which will no longer receive any support.
Between these, we find Galaxy Note 10 Lite and the S10 Lite, both of which have reached the end of their journey. Therefore, if the owners of these devices prefer to have an always updated smartphone with them, they will have to decide to change. In particular, security updates are quite important, especially because dangerous threats are increasingly frequent and having an updated device can be fundamental.
As mentioned at the beginning, Samsung recently has changed its update policy. In fact, the Korean company has guaranteed that even the cheapest smartphones will be entitled to over 5 years of support. This is a relevant choice given that it will allow users to continue using their device safely, without worrying too much about the passage of time.
Unfortunately, however, both the Note 10 Lite and S10 Lite were released before this turnaround.
