Telegram now translates voice messages for everyone, but there is a limit if you don’t pay

Today is update day for messaging apps. After Google Messages Also Telegram updates with eleven new functions (by the way, do you know how to find channels on Telegram?).

Similar channels

To facilitate the research of the channels, whether they are news, photos of cats or videos of chickens dancing, when you subscribe to a channel you now see a list of public channels similar ones relating to the same topic.

These are automatically selected based on similarities in the list of membersand you can also access similar channels from a channel profile.

Republishing stories

Now you can republish stories of friends and your favorite channels on your page, increasing their audience.

Reposting a story allows you to add additional content as texts, audio or even video comments, along with separate visibility settings for reposts.

To repost a story, tap the sharing arrow and select “Repost story“. To protect your privacy, only stories that are visible to “Everyone” they can be republished.

Video messages in stories

When you publish a story, you can now add a video message that can be resized and moved, including on the time axis, to start or end at any frame.

To register a video message, press and hold the icon video camera in the story editor, then tap and hold on the video track at the bottom of the screen to check the volume.

As we mentioned before, the republished stories they also support video messages.

Premium: Profile colors

The users Premium they can now choose a color for their name, the links they send and the replies to their messages.

To customize messages or profile, on Android you need to go to Settings > Chat settings > Change name colorwhile on iOS, it is found in Settings > I wait > Color of your name.

Premium: Wallpapers for both sides

If anyone can set custom wallpapers for individual chatsPremium users can now set a background for both sides, applying the same style for them and the recipient of the chat.

To set a custom wallpaper in a 1-on-1 chat, tap i three dotsThen Change wallpaper.

Voice to text for everyone

The users Premium can transcribe messages voice and video messages (or translate audio into different languages) from 2022, and now the function is available to everyone.

However, for Premium users the conversion is unlimited, while free users can convert to text up to 2 messages to week. To do so, tap the icon arrow towards A next to the audio. This feature will be released gradually and may not be available everywhere immediately.

Story statistics for channels

Channels that can publish stories can now see the statistics of story views, shares and reactions, with graphs detailed to monitor their diffusion and performance.

The story statistics can be viewed by tapping the three dots when viewing a story, or by going to Channel info > three dots > Statistics.

The channel statisticsboosts and giveaway settings can be reached via Channel info > Edit > Stats and upgrades.

Custom reactions for channels

Channel administrators have a new interface to manage reactions, where they can add or remove emoji specifications.

In addition to the standard reactions, i channels they can also add custom emojisgetting a personalized reaction for each level reached.

Additionally channel statistics now show a reactions sentiment graph, based on the emojis used to react to posts. The chart distinguishes positive and negative reactions for emotional emoji equivalents like thumbs up or thumbs down, and uses “other” for more ambiguous options.

Code highlighting in messages

All Telegram apps are now able to recognize programming languages and highlight the syntax in messages sent with the ”’code formatting”’.

Improvements for topics

In groups with i Topics activated, Telegram will save your viewing preferences View as messages or View as topic when you open the group again.

Automatically deleted messages on iOS feature now an animation fantastic when their timer runs out: they are vaporized into a million pixels before disappearing forever.
