In recent days you will surely have read the news on some information site or newspaper: the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (Mimit) would have approved the Computer bonus 2024 (Maybe it’s time to take a look at our selection of the best laptops on the market, too gaming).
But who is it? intended and how is it requested? And above all it already is available? Let’s find out what we know about a bonuses with many aspects to clarify.
What is the 2024 Computer Bonus and for whom is it intended?
The Computer bonus 2024announced together with Internet Bonus 2024is an initiative designed to reduce the so-called “digital divide” and includes a contribution of 300 euros for families with ISEE not exceeding 20 thousand euros in which students enrolled in high schools or any type of university faculty live.
The bonus is addressed to study and in fact it can be exploited to buy only computer, but not for smartphones And tablet.
Regarding the typology of computer, they can be purchased portable as well as Desktop PCsnew or refurbished, and there are no limits regarding the technical data sheet, the brand (you can also buy Macs) or other features.
There is an important limitation, however: it can only be used onceso those who have already used it in the past cannot request it.
The bonuses furthermore it does not apply to accessories and peripherals, for example printers, nor to paying for Internet connection (this is why there will be the 2024 Internet Bonus).
How you should in theory request the 2024 computer bonus
According to the press (later we explain the reason for this clarification), the computer bonus should be requested via App IO, the hub for digital identity and relations with public administrations managed by PagoPA.
After authenticating, you should theoretically tap the card Wallet and tap the Bonuses & Discounts tab. Here you have to touch the “+” button at the top right and then tap at the bottom Discounts, bonuses and other initiatives. After that the Computer bonus 2024and you should be able to fill out the application forms.
Alternatively, always from IO App, some newspapers report that the Computer Bonus should appear in the tab Services at the bottom right, then you can complete the request by entering Isee, Iban and copies of identity documents.
At this point you should receive a voucher to spend on stores participating in the initiative. As you can see, there are a number of uncertainties: Let’s try to understand what exactly is known.
But what is known about the 2024 computer bonus?
Let’s start from a fixed point: the Computer bonus 2024 it is not active yet. There is no trace of it in the IO App. Not only that, but not even on the Mimit website, on that of Government or in Official Journal it is mentioned.
So, there isn’t a decree which confirms its implementation, and there is no mention of the fact that it can be requested via App IO (although in any case there isn’t even a site to contact for the request).
In this regard, the La Nuova Sardegna website contacted the developers of the IO App asking how to request the 2024 computer bonus. The response was disconcerting:
Unlike what is reported by some newspapers, it is not possible to request the bonus via the IO app
Also the team of PagoPA he knows nothing about it.
What can we deduce? In the absence of further information, all we can do is wait. As reported by several newspapers, the Computer bonus 2024 was approved, although official communications there were none. The QdS website reported the news on March 2 (perhaps first, but in any case it is cited as a source by various newspapers that talk about the topic) and confirmed the announcement to a direct question. But the information was not shared sources.
Which is curious, given that it’s one maneuver of the Government which should guarantee a certain visibility and approval from citizens. What we can think of is that they probably haven’t been established yet terms and the mode for the request. It can be assumed that PagoPA was not notified, or that until publication in Official Journal no other news can be disseminated.
