Tesla releases a mysterious update for autonomous driving, or maybe not?
Tesla has been refining its self-driving software implemented in its electric cars for some time, although it is still in the beta testing phase. A new update has arrived in the last few hours.
The new update for Full Self Driving Beta corresponds to version 12.3. This is a curious update because it is not accompanied by any particular changelog, and therefore remains really unclear what new features have been introduced.
The story is curious also because, upon the release of this update, Elon Musk reported on X that it is actually an update very important. So important that this release should correspond to the version 13 of Full Self Driving in beta.
Difficult to understand why the owner of Tesla made such a statement, essentially because no one has officially defined what the innovations introduced are.
We know that, starting from the last update released by Tesla, the manufacturer has introduced the neural networks for the vehicle management.
This innovation is fundamental because it replaces the lines of code implemented by Tesla developers for the automatic and intelligent management of the vehicle.
It should also be noted that no such update yet it was not released on a large scale. It remains to be seen whether version 12.3 will arrive for everyone instead. We therefore await any clarifications from Tesla.
