One UI 6.1 will improve the battery of the new Samsung Galaxy S24 thanks to AI: here are all the details

Samsung has not yet announced the new ones Galaxy S24, yet some technical specifications have already been leaked. In particular, the new top of the range should debut in January with One UI 6.1 based on Android 14 on board. Furthermore, it seems that the software will be full of features related toartificial intelligence, including one dedicated exclusively to drums.

According to a leak launched by Tarun Vats, One UI 6.1 will offer greater battery protection. In this sense, “Protect battery” will become “Battery protection” and will guarantee more options:

  • Basic: stops charging at 100% and resumes at 95%;
  • Adapt: pauses charging at 80% and completes it before the alarm goes off;
  • Max: stops charging at 85%.

It would seem that this functionality will be driven by artificial intelligence, which will allow the device to learn the habits of users and therefore behave accordingly. If there are no other innovations related to the battery, Samsung will only be missing one “detail” compared to the ones iPhonei.e. the display of the remaining battery capacity compared to the time of purchase.

Finally, remaining on the subject of autonomy, Galaxy S24 will be equipped with a 4,000 mAh battery, while the Galaxy S24+ will have a 4,900 mAh battery. On the Galaxy S24 Ultra, however, the 5,000 mAh battery already seen on the predecessors will be confirmed. Finally, it is expected that all three phones will be powered by more energy-efficient chipsso autonomy could benefit from it.
