Samsung ever closer to the launch of Galaxy Ring: the latest news

During the Galaxy Unpacked last January, Samsung showed a short video starring its first smart ring, i.e Galaxy Ring. Subsequently, several rumors about the device were leaked, including the functions dedicated to health and compatibility with smartphones and other wearables from the Korean company.

Now, thanks to The Elec, other interesting rumors have emerged. Proceeding in order, Galaxy Ring It is expected to debut in the second half of this year: it will probably be officially presented during the Galaxy Unpacked scheduled for the summer. Furthermore, it would appear that Samsung will start mass production in May, expected at least at the beginning approximately 400,000 units. This is certainly an important figure, especially considering that it is almost half of what Oura, the current leader in the smart rings market, has sold from March 2022 to today.

Among other things, if demand were to be higher, Samsung should not encounter major difficulties in adjusting production. In this sense, the small form factor of the device and the absence of component shortages would help the company increase the production of Galaxy Ring in a rather tight timeframe.

Finally, it is certain that the ring will be available in three colors – gold, silver and black – and will be available in various sizes.
