Microsoft is constantly improving Windows 11but some aspects of the interface, such as the menu Start and the taskbarthey are still a source of dissatisfaction for users and a step backwards compared to Windows 10 (do you know how to customize Windows 11?).
This is where Stardock’s Start11 comes in, an app capable of adding features ignored by the Redmond house. With the last one update, arrived at version 2.06the hugely popular third-party app allows you to hide automatically there taskbarsimply from the right-click menu.
Start11 was born as a tool to allow users to get back some functions of the Start menu of Windows 10 on the latest version of the operating system. The latest update instead targets the taskbarwhich can now be hidden on command or reopened by moving the cursor to the bottom of the screen.
This and other features of the update (such as the ability to add apps to the context menu) are, as the developer states, the result of feedback of users.
In recent months, Start11 has brought it back to life old features and has added new ones, such as the ability to pin i Web sites to the Start menu and set round corners for the taskbar.
As usual, the new update Start11 should arrive automatically, but you can activate it manually by booting the app and checking for updates.
If you don’t use it Start11 and you are interested, you can download the program from the developer’s site. It’s not free, because it costs money 8.99 eurosbut there is a trial version that allows you to test the tool for free.
