The new option is under development and should simplify a lot the operations to unsubscribe from mailing lists, those which in most cases have the purpose of conveying advertising content.
Often people sign up to these mailing lists following access to online platforms and stores that require the email address, even in a unaware.
Until now, unsubscribing from this type of mailing list has been possible via the included button in the body of the email and usually located at the end, perhaps with a font of small size. With this new button integrated into the Gmail interface and clearly visible everything will be easier.
We reiterate that the new option is still under development, and therefore not yet publicly available. We will return to update you as soon as distribution by Google starts.
