Cloud Gaming, Amazon Luna welcomes GOG and all its titles

Amazon has formalized the collaboration between Luna – its cloud gaming service – and GOG (formerly Goold Old Games). The aim will be to offer users a selection of GOG games on Luna, including classics such as Stardew Valley and the most popular such as the The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077.

Users will be able to play GOG titles they already own or purchase new ones through Luna-compatible devices, including Amazon Fire TV and Fire tablet devices, samsung smart TVs and LG selected, mobile devices (iOS and Android) e desktop devices (PC, MacBook, Chromebook). GOG titles purchased on Luna will come with a license that will allow customers to play on Amazon’s platform, but also download and use them offline with the GOG launcher for PC.

Additionally, developers can add games to Luna, earning revenue and reaching new players through a simple sign-up process.

We are excited to offer our customers more choice and flexibility in game modes. With Luna and GOG, we see an opportunity to introduce our games to a new audience of gamers and leverage Amazon’s reach across Fire TV, Fire Tablet, Twitch and Prime Gaming“, he has declared Pierre Vinson, Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at Plaion. Developers interested in onboarding and making their games available on the GOG game store and Luna can visit this site.

Finally, for those who don’t know, GOG is a digital game store that includes more 9,000 titles DRM-free for Windows, Mac and Linux. GOG’s mission is “making games last forever” so that today’s gamers and future generations can enjoy their favorite games at any time.
