LinkedIn thinks about gaming to enrich the user experience: here’s how

LinkedIn, Microsoft’s platform dedicated to work, is considering an unexpected option, namely the implementation of gaming. With around a billion users, LinkedIn, through this innovation, would aim to increase the time spent on the platform, launching a gaming experience dedicated to Wordle-like puzzles, which went viral involving millions of players.

In detail, several app researchers have discovered codes that confirm this intention of LinkedIn. Among these, there is Nima Owji, who revealed that the platform is developing games that organize user scores based on workplace, also classifying companies based on scores. In this sense, confirmation also arrived from a spokesperson for the platformwho stated: “We’re experimenting with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock some fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations. Stay tuned for more!”

While waiting to find out more in the coming weeks, it cannot be said that this is a big surprise. Microsoft, in fact, is truly a giant in the gaming sector thanks to Xbox, Activision Blizzard and ZeniMax. Therefore, the choice of gaming to diversify the user experience certainly appears interesting. However, the LinkedIn spokesperson declined to specify how and if Microsoft is involved in this project.
