PS5 updates: big audio improvements for DualSense and new features for screen sharing

Sony just announced a new update system for PS5. This is an important update for specific aspects of the Japanese company’s console. In fact, these are concerning improvements the audio aspect and that of screen sharing.

The update specifically involves the software of the wireless controller DualSense And DualSense Edge. These are the new features introduced for PS5 controllers:

  • Controller speaker improvements. The speakers are capable of reaching a higher audio volume. The benefits will obviously be felt during the game and in voice chats.
  • Improved noise cancellation. The quality of the microphone input on these controllers has been improved thanks to a new AI-based machine learning model. Background keystroke noises and game audio are suppressed, improving the voice chat experience.

In addition to the controller update, the new update for PS5 introduces some new features that also concern the screen sharing mode:
