WhatsApp on Android goes back and reintroduces a feature appreciated by users!
Possible step backwards of WhatsApp on Android. In particular, the well-known messaging app, with the beta version 2.23.19.10, had implemented the ability to scroll between tabs: The goal was to make it easier to navigate between chats, calls, updates and communities. However, the developers, in subsequent updates, they removed this possibility due to possible critical issues regarding compliance with the Material You guidelines. Now, however, there would have been a step backwards.
In the always beta version for Android – we refer to the 2.24.7.3 – a return of functionality has been seen. Furthermore, it would seem that some users who have installed the latest stable update have seen both the lower bar containing the various tabs and the ability to navigate between them without problems. This “return” was probably prompted by the feedback received from users, who have never hidden that they appreciated this option.
The gestures, in fact, are quite intuitive for many users, as they replicate the physical action of leafing through the pages, greatly simplifying navigation.
Among other things, this decision by the developers once again confirms the application’s willingness to listen to users and try to improve the experience. The ability to scroll between the various WhatsApp tabs, therefore, is already available for some users who have installed the latest beta version. Finally, for the release to the entire user, we will have to wait for the next few days.
