World of Warcraft also has its Battle Royale: Plunderstorm, the pirate-themed battle royal, arrives!

Blizzardthrough a post on its blog, revealed the details of the limited-time event Plunderstormavailable in the latest game update World of Warcraft. This is a pirate-themed battle royale mode where players will have to “reach the famous lands of the Arathi Highlands, to go all out and find out who will triumph in the limited-time pirate battle royale event”.

A game of Plunderstorm it will be made up of 60 players and will last 10/15 minutes. You will not need to purchase an expansion to play but you will need a subscription to World of Warcraft or Game Time. In fact, even those who play a Classic you can participate by installing the modern World of Warcraft client (Live):

  • Launch the Battle.net Desktop application;
  • Click on the World of Warcraft icon at the top. If you don’t find the icon, click on All the games and select the game from the list;
  • Above the Install button is a drop-down menu. Confirm that you want to install World of Warcraft;
  • Click on Install.

Once logged in Modern WoW:

  • Select Plunderstorm2 from the World of Warcraft game menu;
  • Create a new ad hoc character;
  • Choose whether to play Solo or, if you want to play with your Battle.net friends, create a group from the Plunderstorm character selection screen and select Duo. If you join Duo queue without a partner, we’ll automatically match you with someone. You can also access chat, customize characters, and view the queue from the character select screen.

Finally, to celebrate the release of Plunderstorm, an eSports tournament will also be launched. In the post, in fact, you can read: “Stay with us to learn more about a new eSports tournament to celebrate the release of Plunderstorm!”
