Epic has been talking about its for some time store for mobile devices and now with a post on X published following the declarations at State of Unreal it’s official: Epic Games Store will arrive on iOS and Android by the end of 2024.
But the news perhaps more interesting concerns one clarification in the post, also confirmed by words on the event stage, “same fair terms” for developers.
Basically the version of Epic Games Store For iOS and Android will have the same fair terms as the desktop platform, so the commissions will be 12%. The developers will keep 88% of the revenue, without giving up rights for in-game purchases and there will be no European royalties like the Core Technology Fee or other taxes.
We remember that Epic comes from a long legal battle with Apple And Google after Apple terminated your account for violating its terms in app purchases.
