Gemini is also rolling out in Europe: here’s how to try the app in advance

Launched last week, Google Gemini it’s the last one AI chatbot on the square, and promises to revolutionize the way we use the services of Great G.

Come on Android it even replaces Google Assistant, while on iOS it is integrated into the Google app.

However, there is a problem: at launch the app was exclusive only to the United States, which did not allow you to take advantage of the potential of the chatbots not even using one VPN.

Thankfully, this is changing, as we have anticipated on our Facebook page (it’s a private group, you’ll have to sign up), and Google is releasing the update here too.

The dated page has already appeared on the Play Store in Italian February 9, 2024and even if it is not currently possible to download the app, the update, version 1.0.605683889is already available on APK Mirror.

This means that if you don’t want to wait for the official release (expected in the next few hours), you can download the app and install it manually. Let’s see how to do it.

Go to this address, scroll down and click on the down arrow to the right of Google Gemini 1.0.605683889. On the next page, scroll down and click on again arrow towards the bottom right of the Google Gemini variant 1.0.605683889.

Then on the next page, scroll down and tap the button Download APK. Proceed however, even if you are warned of the potential danger and asked to do so the authorization to install apps from the browser, tap Authorize and activate the corresponding switch, then proceed with the installation.

Now before using Gemini it is important to change tongue of the Assistant: in fact at the moment it only works in English. This means that you will not be able to speak to him in Italian, so before proceeding, know that there is this limitation.

To do this, go to Settings, touch Google and select Settings related to Google apps.

On the page that opens, tap Search, assistant and voice functions and select Google Assistantthen touch Languages, select Italian and then tap English (United States).

Now start Gemini (the star icon) and tap at the bottom right Get started. On the next page, scroll down and read what the tool can do, then tap at the bottom right I agree.

The chatbot’s home screen will appear, essentially a portable version of Gemini from Web. In the center of the page, you will be asked to add the widget to the home page: choose whether to do so or not.

Now you can use Gemini like any other AI chatbot: ask questions, even vocally, add images or whatever you want, even in Italian.

But the news is that up Android substitute the Google Assistantwith some limitations, then using the phrase Hey Google you will call up the new AI chatbot, keeping in mind that you can only speak to it in English. And who will obviously only respond in English.

In case you want to go back to using Google Assistant, and in Italian, you can open the Gemini apptap your profile icon at the top right and select Settings.

On the page that opens, tap Digital assistants from Google and select Google Assistantand then touch Switches. Now restore Italian as a language by following the procedure we saw a few lines above. Unfortunately, if you do this you won’t be able to continue using Gemini even from now apps, which therefore on Android is inextricably linked to the replacement of the Assistant. At this point you will have to log in to the site to use it.

The update is being rolled out on Play Store in these hours, so it should arrive shortly, while as far as iOS is concerned it will be integrated into the app Google and it won’t work from voice assistant (It hasn’t even been launched in the United States yet).
