We often talk about return periods extended on Amazon (here is the guide on how to make a return on Amazon), which arrive in correspondence with the promotional campaigns that the e-commerce giant. We are not particularly used to it reduction of return periods.
But this is what just happened. Amazon just introduced a reduction of return times which, at least for the moment, concerns the products of electronics and those multimedia.
The new return period available to Amazon customers corresponds to 14 days. Therefore, Amazon has essentially halved the return times available for all those who purchase electronics and multimedia products on its platform.
Amazon has confirmed that the change in return times, initially communicated on its forum for the German market, will be in force from next year March 25 Also in Italy. Everyone who purchases items in the following categories from March 25th will therefore have only 14 days time to make a return:
- Cameras
- Electronics
- Office supplies
- Computer
- Wireless
- Video games
- Music and videos/DVDs
Amazon also specified that i Amazon products and the products Amazon Renewed are not included in the change just introduced.
For these products you will therefore have always 30 days to take advantage of the free return.
Given the short notice with which the return policy change was announced, Amazon reported that between March 25th and April 25th its customers will still be able to request a return within 30 days of purchase, with an explicit request that must be made via its returns center. After April 25th the period available for returns will be strictly limited to 14 days from the delivery date.
The new policy also involves products sold by third parties on Amazon. These sellers will have to ensure a minimum return period of 14 days from the delivery date.
