Now the Google search it is not only capable of showing you the best results based on your searches, but it can also be proactive, sending you notifications related to your interests (by the way, do you know how to set Google as your home page?).

The novelty, present in the app Google for iOS for some time, it just arrived on website most popular in the world, Google. comif opened from mobile devices (Android or iOS).

How does it work? Very simple: all you have to do is open a browser and go to the Google Search page, making sure you have done so access with your GrandeG account. The new thing hasn’t worked since browser on PCbut only on mobile devices.

Now at the top right you will see an icon shaped like bell, to the left of your profile picture. You will see it both on the site’s home screen and on the search results page.

If there are new notifications, it will show a red dot with the number of notifications for you inside.

By tapping it, you will be shown a feed with a series of contents that may interest you, as conditions weather, results sports, prices of actions, word of the day, updates on you fly, advice on what to watch and more.

This page is the google.com/search/notifications site, but as anticipated it can only be accessed from browser on mobile devices, and not always.

Each notification features on the left an icon related to the category (for example a soccer ball for match scores or a G for word of the day or recommended content). Then you will find the text of the notification, the day where it was sent and on the right the Images related. Tapping the notification will show the related result of Google Search.

In our tests, this novelty does not yet seem widely implemented. For some account appears, for others it doesn’t. And curiously it is same account it doesn’t show it on Android while on iOS yes, using the same browser.

Also the browser the presence of this icon seems to influence in some way: for example on Chrome For iOS And Android we couldn’t see it for any account and we received mistake by going directly to the google.com/search/notifications page.
