Signal is the instant messaging platform that competes with the giants WhatsApp and Telegram and which has become popular for a few years now. The news he has just announced obviously benefits those who use it relying on privacy promised by the platform itself.
The innovation just introduced by Signal provides that the telephone number personal of all its users it will be private For default setting. This means that it will not be visible to other users, not even to those with whom you chat, unless you explicitly make it available for consultation.
You will then be able to set a unique username with which you can be found by other users on Signal to chat, without the need to share your phone number.
