Tesla Model 2 will go into production in 2025 and here’s why it will be cheap

To understand the “dimension” of this statement, just think that of Toyota Corolla – the best-selling car in the world – just over 50 million units have been sold so far (it debuted 58 years ago). In any case, it seems certain that Model 2 will represent an important revolution given that it will have a rather accessible selling price (we are talking about a less than $25,000). The new production process will help this aspect, which would allow the company to save up to 50% of construction costs as well as speed up the process.

About this “Unboxed” process consists in reducing the amount of work carried out at each stage of the production line, avoiding any superfluous operations. Additionally, next-generation powertrain and battery technology will also be crucial to keeping costs low. In this sense, Tesla promotes a 75% reduction in silicon carbide for its upcoming batteries. Finally, as regards the production of the new Model 2, the car will be born in Berlin.
